Around the house

Yesterday was the horribly humiliating climax of my asthma/virus problem.   Basically I had a huge asthma attack in the waiting room of the doctors office, involving numerous very concerned strangers who, amongst my many coughing fits had a very public lesson on the value of kegels for the post partum woman, and what happens if you ignore them.  The good news is that I talked Doc out of hospitalizing me.  The great news is that we dared an oral prednisone regimine and I’d rate myself at 60% better already and no signs of the allergic reaction I had when I was a teenager.  I’m down to 3 nebulizer treatments per day, already, vs. 1 per hour where I was at on Tuesday.

Toddo was miserably sick yesterday, so were the babies.  Var was better, Steph was sent home sick from school.  The babies should be done by tomorrow, when Grandma and Grandpa “up north” come down to visit for Thaddeus’s birthday on Saturday.  Toddo and I are both well enough to slowly start cleaning up the house.  Steph will likely be sick through the weekend given the run of the illness.  But there is a light at the end of tunnel, and for that I thank God and medicine.

Oh, no! Oh, honey, I’m so sorry… I’m so relieved the meds are working for you, but what an ordeal. (((hugs)))
