(Wouldn’t that be a great name for a store?  Or a tv show?  Or a blog about fashion faux pas?)

What do you do when you feel blocked?  Do you ever feel like you are in your own way in terms of meeting your creative potential?  How do you move on?

Sometimes when I’m trying and I think I’m failing, I step back and stop for a bit. If I can think outside my own little box, I can often see something better in my half-finished mess. It’s being able to set aside my frustration and impatience that’s tough.

(and sometimes what I make just sucks and needs to be thrown away, but that’s probably not helpful here, is it? LOL)

Mostly, if I’m really stuck, I do something else, something simple and mindless; then get a good night’s sleep and try again. Sleep makes me able to figure all kinds of things out.

    Good luck!!

Oh, yeah, “Design Intervention?” LOVE IT!!

I’ve been going through a writer’s block for a while. Last night I bought myself a really cute pink hardcover notebook (after school sale) and hope to start writing again, at least in longhand, LOL!
As far as crafts…I have so many things going on that if I’m blocked here, I just move on to ‘there.’ My real problem with sewing, crochet and scrapbooking is not being blocked…it’s having too many WIPs, LOL!
